Molly Ivins

Molly Ivins was a brilliant political humorist, and I loved her column in the newspaper from the time I was in high school. She was a unique voice in Texas. Sharp. Funny. Clear-eyed about power in a way that felt both radical and obvious at the same time.

Her writing stands as a reminder of how far Texas has shifted. We had a Democratic governor when I was a teenager. Molly covered all of it.
