Michael Stipe

Back in the 90s, I was an R.E.M. kid. I sold my entire CD collection in 1995 so I could afford to go see them in concert. It was worth every penny. The best concert I have ever attended was R.E.M. and Radiohead in 1995.

 

The video linked here is "Nightswimming." Whenever I felt upset or trapped, I would drive out to Possum Kingdom Lake in the middle of the night and go swimming and play that song. It was made for exactly that kind of night - wide open and quiet and a little bit brave.
