One night, I was giving my friend Damon a ride home from work when my car broke down. We managed to coast into an abandoned office park just before midnight. No cars on the road. No one to call. No money for repairs or a tow.
So we just sat there. We declared "We live here now!" more than a few times. And then we started taking turns playing songs for each other.
Damon said, "I know you're going to love this song." I get told that a lot, and the person saying it is usually spectacularly wrong. Then he played it.
He was right. My life was changed.
A few weeks later, I had a shirt made for him that said "We live here now."
